-- build a crosscut sled for your bandsaw
I love my bandsaw. I love my bandsaw because it's like an unpaid apprentice. It does all the boring work plus saves me money by milling rough stock. One of the most useful appliances I use with my bandsaw is a crosscut sled, something normally only associated with a table saw.
Normally people think a bandsaw crosscut sled that uses the stock miter channels can't work because it can't deal with blade drift. Well... I'll explain why that just ain't true.
