This is the premiere episode of a new series of classroom style videos I believe appropriate to be shown in a public school environment. For the past year I've been teaching a weekly free class here at the brick and mortar school introducing people to woodworking and teaching them how to sharpen. This is a video version of that free class. It'll be followed up with two more shortly which would be the equivalent of one week of classes in a double block school (classes meet half as often but twice as long). The material used include: chisel, mallet, holding material, sharpening medium, and a small hunk of wood.
